India Planning a Terror Drama, We Will Strike All the Way to Kolkata: Khawaja Asif

Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, issued a stern warning to India regarding potential false-flag operations and underscored Pakistan’s commitment to regional stability and peace during a media briefing.

Speaking to reporters, Minister Asif accused India of attempting to stage a “terrorism drama” and emphasized that any provocative actions by New Delhi would be met with decisive responses. “If India takes any action, we will respond strongly, even if it means extending our operations as far as Kolkata,” he said.

On the ongoing diplomatic process surrounding the U.S.-Iran negotiations, Minister Asif noted that Pakistan is playing an important role in facilitating dialogue, though he refrained from commenting on the specifics of the negotiations. “We pray for success in this process, and we hope that these talks contribute to peace and stability in our region,” he said.

The Defence Minister expressed his hopes for lasting regional peace, unity among Muslim nations, and resolution of disputes. “We are followers of the Prophet ﷺ. May Allah protect us from divisions and guide our efforts for reconciliation and harmony. Pakistan’s initiatives toward peace should be successful,” he added.

Minister Asif highlighted India’s alleged attempts to manipulate situations through false-flag operations. He warned that India might use the bodies of prisoners or operatives to stage incidents of terrorism, which he described as a dangerous provocation.

Reflecting on past confrontations, he said, “A year ago, India suffered a humiliation that the world and its own citizens have witnessed. Despite being five times larger than Pakistan in population, military, and economy, India faced setbacks that will be recorded in history.”

He also emphasized Pakistan’s military capabilities, particularly the Pakistan Air Force, noting that it has previously carried out successful operations inside Indian territory. “If India attempts any misadventure again, we are fully prepared to extend our reach to Kolkata,” Minister Asif warned.

The Defence Minister’s remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing efforts by Pakistan to assert its position in safeguarding national security while contributing to broader regional stability.
