Security forces foiled a major infiltration attempt along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Balochistan, killing at least eight terrorists and injuring four others, according to security sources.
The incident took place in the Sambaza sector, where militants linked to Fitna al Khawarij were reportedly moving from Fatah Sherini toward Dam Kali to reach their hideouts. The group was detected during transit near the border area and was engaged before it could disperse.
Sources said the militants were effectively targeted, resulting in the elimination of eight attackers, while four others were wounded during the exchange.
Security officials described the action as a timely interdiction that prevented the group from establishing movement deeper inside Pakistani territory. Clearance operations were ongoing in the area to ensure no residual elements remained.
Authorities maintain that heightened surveillance and rapid response mechanisms are in place along the western frontier amid continued attempts by militant networks to exploit remote crossing routes.
