Indian Proxy-Backed Fake Video Targeting Pakistan Army Exposed

Authorities have uncovered a fabricated video purporting to show Muhammad Shahram as a serving officer in the Pakistan Army, revealing it to be a sophisticated piece of disinformation. The content, reportedly created with the assistance of Indian intelligence proxies, relies on false documents, manipulated AI imagery, and deliberate inconsistencies designed to mislead the public.

An examination of the video and its supporting materials highlights numerous discrepancies that expose the narrative as entirely false. Claims that Muhammad Shahram joined the Pakistan Army in 2020 are contradicted by his age, which exceeds the maximum recruitment limit. While the video portrays him as a resident of Sheikhupura, Punjab, the driving license shown originates from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, underscoring the story’s fabricated nature. The identification card presented inflates his rank, depicting him as a Havaldar after only a few years of service, despite the fact that promotion to this rank requires at least fifteen years. In addition, the ID card bears a future issue date of March 2026, while the current month is February 2026, further demonstrating the falsity of the documents. Even the spelling of his name varies between “Muhammad Shahram” and “Sharam,” a clear indication of forgery.

This incident mirrors previous attempts to disseminate false narratives, such as exaggerated claims during the Jafar Express event, which were later proven baseless. Analysts and authorities stress that the primary objective of this propaganda is to mislead the public, create confusion, and undermine trust in Pakistan’s institutions.

Officials have called on citizens to remain vigilant and refrain from sharing unverified content, emphasizing the importance of verifying facts before accepting or propagating such material. Pakistan continues to take proactive measures to identify and expose disinformation campaigns, ensuring that attempts to manipulate public perception and defame its armed forces are met with transparency, clarity, and decisive action.
