“Cross Us and Your Generations Will Remember”: Bannu’s Ahmadzai Tribe Warns Terrorist ‘Geedar’

A terrorist known as “Geedar,” notorious for issuing cowardly threats on social media, has been warned in no uncertain terms by the Ahmadzai tribe and local police committees: any hostile action against law enforcement or tribal members will be met with a response so decisive that neither he, his facilitators, nor future generations will forget it.

The militant had recently claimed he would demolish the homes of 50 police officials in the district. Authorities and tribal elders immediately countered, making clear that the terrorist’s attempts to intimidate through fear would not succeed. The warning also referenced the killing of two police personnel in recent attacks, affirming that their deaths would be avenged.

Bannu remains a frontline district in Pakistan’s fight against terrorism, where local tribes and law enforcement continue to frustrate militants’ designs. Figures like Geedar rely on threats, propaganda, and the support of sanctuaries across the Afghan border, often with facilitation from Afghan Taliban. But in Bannu, the combined vigilance of police and community has repeatedly turned fear into accountability.
