Five Wanted Terrorists Killed in CTD Operation in Pishin

Five suspected terrorists, including Sanaullah Agha, a highly wanted individual linked to multiple terrorism and serious criminal cases, were killed during a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) operation in the Kili Karbala area of Pishin district, officials confirmed.

According to Balochistan Police, a CTD team from Quetta conducted a pre-dawn raid on a residential compound in Kili Karbala following intelligence reports regarding the presence of Sanaullah Agha and his brothers, who had been declared absconders in several high-profile cases. The operation aimed to apprehend the suspects and bring them to justice.

As the CTD team approached the location, the terrorists opened heavy and sophisticated fire, initiating a prolonged exchange of gunfire. During the initial encounter, nine CTD personnel sustained injuries. The injured officers were identified as Khadim Hussain, Manzoor Ahmed, Gul Muhammad, Khair Jan, Asadullah, Shamsher Ali, Ehsanullah, Aimal, and Moaz Ahmed. They were immediately shifted to medical facilities and are receiving treatment.

Taking advantage of the situation, the terrorists managed to flee in an injured condition. In response, additional CTD contingents were deployed to the area, and a comprehensive cordon-and-search operation was launched under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) CTD Aitzaz Ahmed Goraya to prevent further escape.

The operation culminated around 4:30 pm, when CTD personnel re-engaged the terrorists during a renewed encounter. As a result of the exchange of fire, five terrorists, including Sanaullah Agha, were killed. All the deceased were wanted in multiple terrorism-related cases as well as other serious criminal offenses.

During the subsequent clearance and search operation, law enforcement personnel recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition, including rocket launchers, sub-machine guns, hand grenades, magazines, and a substantial quantity of bullets. Officials noted that the cache underscored the operational capability and violent intent of the terrorists.

Police officials emphasized that operations against proclaimed offenders and terrorist networks would continue with full resolve to uphold the writ of the state, protect public safety, and maintain law and order across Balochistan. Residents of the area reported a return to normalcy following the conclusion of the operation.

The successful operation demonstrates the Counter-Terrorism Department’s ongoing commitment to dismantling terrorist networks and neutralizing threats posed by armed extremist elements in the province.
