Pakistan’s security forces carried out a successful intelligence-based operation in Panjgur district of Balochistan, neutralizing three Indian-sponsored terrorists linked to the proscribed outfit Fitna al Hindustan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
According to ISPR, the operation was conducted on January 25 after credible intelligence indicated the presence of terrorists operating under Indian sponsorship in the area. Security forces swiftly moved to the identified location and effectively engaged the militants.
During the course of the operation, troops encountered stiff resistance, leading to an intense exchange of fire. As a result, three terrorists were killed. Those neutralized included local area terrorist commander Farooq alias Soro, along with terrorists Adeel and Waseem.
ISPR said the eliminated terrorists were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region, aimed at destabilizing peace and security in Balochistan. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from their possession, confirming their operational role and intent.
Security officials stated that the killing of the local commander represents a significant blow to the network of Indian-backed terrorist elements operating in the area. The presence of such groups, they added, reflects continued attempts to fuel unrest through foreign-sponsored militancy.
Following the operation, security forces launched sanitization activities in the surrounding areas to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining terrorist elements. Authorities emphasized that no space would be allowed for foreign-backed militants to regroup or re-establish operational footholds.
ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies remain fully committed to their relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the national vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.
The statement underscored that operations against foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism will continue at full pace until the menace is completely eradicated from the country.
Security forces reiterated their resolve to protect the people of Pakistan and ensure lasting peace and stability, particularly in regions targeted by hostile external actors seeking to undermine national security.
