Major Terror Plot Uncovered in Kharan Bazaar as Security Forces Strike

Security forces successfully thwarted a major terrorist attack in Kharan’s main bazaar following a swift and coordinated response that prevented significant loss of life and damage to public property.

According to security sources, militants belonging to the BLA-linked Fitna al Hindustan infiltrated the busy marketplace with the intent to carry out a bank robbery and broader acts of terror. Acting on timely intelligence, law enforcement and security forces moved decisively, neutralizing the immediate threat and restoring control over the area.

Initial reports confirm that four terrorists involved in the bazaar attack were eliminated on the spot. The wider operation, however, revealed a much larger militant presence. Approximately 40 terrorists were involved in the planned assault, including an estimated 25 foreign nationals of Afghan origin.

So far, 12 terrorists have been neutralized, while three high-value targets have been apprehended alive. Security forces have effectively encircled the remaining militants, and clearance and search operations are continuing to eliminate all residual threats.

During the operation, five security personnel sustained injuries, including a Lieutenant Colonel and a Major. All injured personnel have been shifted to medical facilities and are receiving appropriate treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable.

The public has been advised to remain calm and cooperate with authorities as security operations progress.
