Terror Strikes in Bajaur and Jamrud: CTD and FC Personnel Targeted in Coordinated Attacks

In two separate security incidents in Bajaur and the Malaguri, Jamrud area, law enforcement personnel came under violent attacks by armed extremist elements, highlighting the ongoing threat posed by terrorist groups in the region.

In Barah Mina Bazaar, Mamond area of Bajaur, unknown assailants opened fire on CTD Constable Safor, son of Sabeel, while he was on duty. The officer sustained severe injuries and was immediately transported to Khar Hospital, where, despite the best efforts of medical staff, he succumbed to his wounds and was martyred. The Bajaur Police quickly cordoned off the area and launched an intensive search-and-arrest operation to apprehend the perpetrators.

 In Murad Dhand, Malaguri, personnel from FC and Malaguri Aman Lashkar came under a coordinated attack by TTP-affiliated Khawarij extremists firing from a nearby hill in which one security personnel got martyrdom and two got injured . During the encounter, one FC personnel was injured, and in a swift counter-operation, two militants were arrested. Investigations and operations are ongoing to neutralize any remaining threats in the area.

These incidents underline the persistent threat to law enforcement and civilian security in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as extremist groups continue to target officers engaged in maintaining law and order. Security agencies remain committed to protecting the populace, pursuing terrorists, and restoring stability in the affected areas.

Authorities have urged local residents to cooperate with security forces and remain vigilant while operations to apprehend further militants continue.
