Field Marshal Asim Munir Warns of Decisive Response to Indian-Backed Proxies in Balochistan

Field Marshal Asim Munir has warned that Pakistan will respond firmly and decisively to any direct or indirect violation of its territorial integrity, accusing Indian-sponsored proxies of fueling violence and propaganda in Balochistan.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations, the Chief of Defence Forces was speaking to participants of the 18th National Workshop on Balochistan, who called on him during an interactive session.

Addressing the participants, Field Marshal Asim Munir said Indian-backed proxy elements were actively spreading propaganda and attempting to incite violence in Balochistan, with the aim of disrupting development and stability in the province. He stressed that such efforts would be countered with resolve, adding that any attempt to undermine Pakistan’s sovereignty would be met with a decisive response.

He said the Pakistan Armed Forces remained fully committed to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens, and that the malicious designs of Indian-sponsored proxies would be thwarted through strict security operations. The field marshal reiterated that security forces would continue efforts to rid the province of terrorism and unrest.

Highlighting Balochistan’s strategic importance, Field Marshal Asim Munir underlined the central role of the province in Pakistan’s long-term development and security. He praised the resilience and patriotism of the people of Balochistan, describing them as a vital pillar of national strength.

He said both the federal and provincial governments were implementing development projects with a people-centric approach, aimed at addressing long-standing socio-economic challenges. Emphasizing the role of civil society, he noted that exposing disinformation and hostile propaganda was essential to counter external narratives targeting the province.

Field Marshal Asim Munir also called for the rejection of narrow political agendas, stating that national unity and long-term prosperity for Balochistan must take precedence over short-term interests.

The ISPR said the session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, during which the field marshal responded to queries from the participants.
