Eight Terrorists Behind Police Patrol Attack Eliminated in Karak Operation

At least eight terrorists were killed as security forces pursued terrorists involved in a deadly attack in the Gurguri area of Karak district, following the martyrdom of five police personnel earlier on Tuesday.

Security sources said the operation is still underway, with reports suggesting more terrorists may have been neutralised. Forces remain present at the site and have cordoned off the area.

The development followed a cowardly attack by terrorists on a police mobile vehicle in the morning, which left five police officers martyred. In response, police and the Counter Terrorism Department launched a joint operation, tracking the attackers into a rugged and mountainous terrain where they were engaged.

Bodies of the killed terrorists have been shifted to a hospital for postmortem examinations, while the identification process is ongoing.
