The capital of Balochistan, Quetta, witnessed two coordinated bomb attacks on Monday evening when security personnel and a Crime Scene Unit (CSU) were targeted in separate but linked explosions on Qambrani Road. No casualties were reported in either incident, police confirmed.

According to officials, the first attack occurred when motorcycle riders approached a security forces vehicle and threw a hand grenade, triggering a loud explosion. The blast caused partial damage to the vehicle, while the personnel inside remained unharmed. A Bomb Disposal Unit was immediately dispatched to the scene as part of the standard response protocol.

Shortly after the initial blast, a second explosion took place near the same location. Police said the CSU vehicle, deployed to examine the first attack site, was hit when an improvised explosive device fitted to a parked motorcycle was detonated remotely. The explosion did not cause any loss of life.

Following the attacks, security forces swiftly cordoned off the area and launched an investigation. Forensic experts began collecting evidence from both blast sites as authorities work to trace the perpetrators and determine whether a single network coordinated the twin attacks.

Police said the nature of the blasts indicated a preplanned effort to target both the initial responders and the investigative team. The search operation in the surrounding areas remained underway at the time of filing this report.
