The four tribes of Hati Khel in Domel tehsil convened an emergency jirga to formulate a unified strategy against the deteriorating security situation, announcing a series of measures aimed at restoring stability and strengthening community defence.
The jirga unanimously agreed to establish peace committees and mobilise traditional armed lashkars to safeguard the area. Participants declared that the entry of unfamiliar individuals would be strictly prohibited, and movement would only be permitted after proper identification.
Tribal elders urged the police to increase daily patrolling in sensitive localities and called on the authorities to refrain from seizing licensed weapons from local peace volunteers, arguing that these volunteers play a crucial role in maintaining order.
The jirga also called on the government to launch immediate and decisive action against elements involved in disturbing the peace. Tribal leaders reaffirmed their commitment to cooperating with state institutions and upholding the rule of law, emphasising that their support for stability was unwavering.
Appealing to the public, the elders urged communities to steer misguided youth away from militant elements. They assured that those who voluntarily renounce militancy and surrender their weapons would not be harmed and would be given safe passage.
The jirga warned that any attack originating from any area would prompt a strong tribal response, adding that no apology or justification under the guise of tribal customs would be accepted in the event of such aggression.
