Security Forces Foil Infiltration Bid from Afghanistan, Eliminate Top Khwarij Commander in Bajaur: ISPR

Pakistan’s security forces successfully foiled an infiltration attempt by a group of khwarij terrorists along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Bajaur District during the night between October 29 and 30, killing four militants including a high-value commander.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the infiltrators were detected by security forces and effectively engaged, preventing their entry into Pakistani territory. In the ensuing exchange, four khwarij were killed, including their key leader Amjad alias Mazahim, the deputy to Kharji Noor Wali and head of the Rehbari Shura of the Indian proxy outfit Fitna al-Khwarij.

The slain commander Amjad was a most-wanted terrorist, carrying a head money of Rs5 million announced by the government. He was involved in numerous terrorist activities inside Pakistan while operating from Afghanistan.

ISPR said that the leadership of Fitna al-Khwarij, based in Afghanistan, continues to orchestrate infiltration attempts to project a false impression of domestic presence and boost the declining morale of their militants in Bajaur and Mohmand, where effective security operations have significantly weakened their networks.

“It is once again reiterated that the Interim Afghan Government must take concrete measures to ensure that Afghan soil is not used by khwarij proxies to perpetrate terrorism against Pakistan,” the statement added, emphasizing that the incident reaffirms Pakistan’s stance that Afghan territory is being used as a safe haven for terrorists of Fitna al-Khwarij.

The ISPR reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute and unwavering in their commitment to defend the nation’s frontiers. A sanitization operation is underway in the area to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored terrorists. The relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan, will continue with full force to eradicate the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
