During the response, multiple Afghan Taliban posts were destroyed, while several others caught fire, inflicting casualties on the Afghan Taliban forces.
According to initial reports, 14 Afghan Taliban personnel were confirmed dead or injured, while the assessment of additional casualties was underway.
The situation along the border remained under observation as further details regarding the extent of the damage and casualties were being assessed.
