In Dera Ismail Khan, Khawarij launched a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) attack on a security forces convoy. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries among the troops.
Security forces swiftly retaliated, killing a khariji on the spot while the rest managed to flee. Search operations have been launched in the surrounding area to track down the attackers.
The incident highlights the militants’ continued attempts to disrupt peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, officials said the effective and immediate response of the forces once again foiled the terrorists’ designs.
