Security Personnel Martyred and Injured In Basima; Over Ten Khawarij Killed In Retaliatory Fire

Terrorists launched a deadly attack on security forces in Basima, Washuk district, Balochistan, martyring multiple personnel, including Captain Asif, and injuring others late Monday night. According to initial reports, the assailants targeted a Quick Reaction Force (QRF) element and an accompanying police vehicle in the remote area. The attack, carried out with heavy gunfire, resulted in several security personnel embracing martyrdom on the spot, while others sustained injuries.

Security forces responded immediately with precise retaliatory fire, killing more than ten Khawarij. The area was swiftly cordoned off as reinforcements arrived and large-scale search and pursuit operations were launched to locate any remaining attackers.

The injured have been shifted to medical facilities, and security in the surrounding region has been tightened to prevent further incidents. Authorities said the identities and affiliations of the slain Khawarij are being verified as part of the ongoing investigation.

Officials vowed that such attacks would be met with crushing force, reiterating that those responsible for the Basima assault would be hunted down and eliminated without delay.
