Two soldiers were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast near Abdul Khel Post in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at around 9:15am on Saturday, police said. According to initial reports, the blast targeted a Bomb Disposal/Picketing party of 43 Punjab Regiment. The injured soldiers, identified as Sepoy Saleem and Sepoy Malook, were rushed to the city hospital. Police said both sustained serious injuries in the explosion.
Security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation following the incident. Further details were awaited.
