On the occasion of Kashmir Siege Day, Pakistan’s top military leadership—including CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Air Chief Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu—reaffirmed steadfast solidarity with the resilient people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the armed forces reiterated full support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination as enshrined in UN resolutions. The statement condemned the continued illegal occupation by Indian forces as a blatant violation of international law and emphasized that India’s oppressive tactics and provocative rhetoric are fueling regional instability.
The military leadership stressed that lasting peace in South Asia is impossible without a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. Paying tribute to the martyrs of occupied Kashmir, the armed forces renewed their pledge to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for freedom.
The ISPR affirmed that Pakistan’s armed forces will continue to extend political, moral, and humanitarian support to the Kashmiris’ legitimate cause.
