Five Terrorists Killed, Five Injured in CTD Intelligence-Based Operation in Taunsa Sharif

Punjab’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) successfully conducted an intelligence-based operation in Taunsa Sharif, resulting in the deaths of five terrorists and injuries to five others.

Security sources revealed that CTD received a tip-off about the presence of terrorists in the area. When CTD personnel reached the location, the terrorists opened fire, leading to a gun battle. Five terrorists were killed during the encounter, while five injured militants managed to flee toward nearby forested areas.

Authorities recovered rifles, three improvised explosive devices (IEDs), hand grenades, ammunition, and other explosive materials from the site.

Search operations are ongoing to apprehend the injured terrorists who escaped. Meanwhile, security forces have established check posts in Taunsa Sharif and surrounding areas to tighten surveillance.

Four bodies of the deceased terrorists have been transported to a local hospital for identification, while one body was taken away by fleeing associates. The identification process is underway.

This operation highlights CTD’s continued commitment to combating terrorism and ensuring the security of Punjab.
