Four Martyred Including Assistant Commissioner in Bajaur Bomb Blast; Eleven Injured

A powerful bomb blast in Bajaur’s Sadiqabad area onclaimed the lives of four individuals, including Assistant Commissioner Nawagai and the Tehsildar, while eleven others sustained injuries. The explosion targeted an official vehicle and caused widespread panic in the area.

According to District Police Officer (DPO) Waqas Rafiq, the attack occurred near the Sadiqabad Phatak on Nawagai Road in Khar Tehsil. The blast was so intense that the targeted vehicle was completely destroyed. Among the martyrs were Assistant Commissioner Nawagai Faisal Ismail, Tehsildar Nawagai, a Subedar, and a police official.

Police sources said the explosion took place near the Phatak Mela Ground. Rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to District Headquarters Hospital Khar for immediate medical treatment.

Security forces swiftly cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. Emergency services and relief efforts were also underway to assist the victims.

The attack has once again highlighted the fragile security situation in the tribal districts, prompting authorities to increase surveillance and tighten security measures across the region.

No group had claimed responsibility for the attack till the filing of this report.
