Field Marshal Asim Munir Warns of Fitna al-Hindustan and Khawarij Threat Backed by India

Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir delivered a critical address to the officers of the 52nd Common Training Programme, focusing on the evolving regional security landscape and the role of Indian-sponsored terrorism in destabilizing Pakistan. Speaking candidly, the Army Chief stated, “Afghanistan is a brotherly Islamic country, and Pakistan desires peaceful and cooperative relations with it. However, our sole and firm demand from Afghanistan is that it must not provide space or shelter to India’s terror proxies Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij.”

He underscored that these foreign-backed elements represent the most dangerous hybrid threats facing Pakistan today. “India remains the principal sponsor of terrorism in the region,” he warned, “and it continues to exploit Afghan soil to wage a proxy war against Pakistan through militant outfits masquerading as ideological or nationalist movements.”

Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized that the success of Pakistan’s internal and external defense lies in the unity between the people, the government, and the armed forces. He said, “A nation’s progress demands cohesion among its institutions and an unshakable resolve against all forms of internal subversion.”

Turning to the strategic responsibility of Pakistan’s civil administration, he noted, “The foundation of harmony among all state organs is laid by Pakistan’s administrative and civil bureaucracy this is a solemn national duty entrusted to you.”

Reflecting on recent military engagements, the Army Chief praised the role of state institutions during what he termed the “Battle for Truth (Ma’raka-e-Haq).” He said, “From the Line of Control to the Arabian Sea, Pakistan has delivered strong and lawful responses to India’s baseless aggression. And in this just struggle, divine support was with us because we were on the side of truth.”

On preparedness, he reaffirmed, “Pakistan’s Armed Forces remain ever ready to meet modern warfare demands, including technological threats like drones, cyber operations, and proxy wars.”

Delivering a firm message to New Delhi, Field Marshal Munir declared, “Pakistan has never accepted Indian hegemony and never will. As a nation, we have never bowed to India, and we never shall.”

Rejecting Indian propaganda linking Pakistan to terrorism, the Army Chief said, “Terrorism is India’s internal crisis, fueled by its discriminatory, violent treatment of its minorities—especially Muslims. It seeks to externalize this crisis through lies and proxies.”

He further asserted, “The threat of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij is real, coordinated, and supported by hostile intelligence networks. Our national security institutions are fully aware and prepared to confront this menace with strength and clarity.”

In his concluding remarks, Field Marshal Asim Munir called upon civil servants and officers to rise above narrow identities and embrace the values of unity, character, and sacrifice. “Let Pakistan be your only identity. Uphold courage, competence, and most importantly, character—for character alone sustains nations.”
