Security forces eliminated an Afghan national affiliated with the Khawarij in a precise intelligence-based operation conducted in the Surdag village of Spinwam tehsil, North Waziristan district. According to security sources, the operation was launched following actionable intelligence regarding the presence of a wanted Khawarij operative in the area. The individual was engaged and neutralised after a brief exchange of fire, eliminating a potential threat to peace and stability in the region.
The slain Khawarij was reportedly involved in cross-border infiltration and subversive activities, and had long been on the radar of intelligence agencies. His presence in the border district had raised serious security concerns, prompting swift and decisive action by the security apparatus.
“This operation reflects the state’s unwavering resolve to uproot the menace of Khawarij from Pakistani soil,” an official stated, reaffirming that no sanctuary would be allowed to elements seeking to disrupt peace in the country.
Local residents have expressed relief over the successful operation, appreciating the efforts of the security forces in safeguarding the region from extremist violence.
The security forces reiterated their commitment to conducting continued intelligence-driven operations against all such hostile elements until complete peace is restored across the tribal districts.
