In a heinous act of foreign-sponsored terrorism, two civilians lost their lives and several others sustained injuries when a powerful explosion ripped through the central area of Rakhni town in Barkhan District on Monday. The attack, attributed to the Indian-backed network Fitna-al-Hindustan, is the latest in a series of attempts to destabilize peace in Pakistan through proxy violence.According to security officials, the blast was carried out using an improvised explosive device (IED) hidden inside a motorcycle parked near a busy market street. The explosion was devastating, shattering windows of nearby shops and buildings, and severely damaging a pickup vehicle stationed at the site. The intensity of the blast caused widespread panic, with residents fleeing in fear as the area was engulfed in smoke and chaos.
Emergency services responded immediately, shifting the wounded to a nearby hospital. Several of the injured are reported to be in critical condition. Medical staff are working around the clock to provide life-saving care to the victims.
Police and Levies personnel promptly cordoned off the blast site, while Pakistan’s security forces launched a large-scale search operation to hunt down collaborators and facilitators of Fitna-al-Hindustan in the region. The area has been sealed as forensic teams collect evidence to trace the origins and mechanics of the device used in the bombing.
Officials condemned the attack as a cowardly attempt by Fitna-al-Hindustan to spread fear and chaos among the Pakistani public. They reiterated that the state remains unshaken in its resolve to eliminate all foreign-sponsored threats and bring the perpetrators to justice.
