Air Chief Visits Family of Martyred Officer, Injured Personnel; Vows to Defend Aerial Frontiers at All Costs

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, visited the residence of Squadron Leader Usman Yousaf Shaheed in Rawalpindi on Monday to offer Fateha and express his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. Paying rich tribute to the officer, who embraced martyrdom during the recent enemy attack on a Pakistan Air Force operational base, the Air Chief said the supreme sacrifice of Squadron Leader Usman Yousaf would be eternally remembered and honored by the nation.

He assured the family that the legacy of Pakistan’s martyrs would remain a source of pride and reverence for generations to come. The Air Chief offered prayers for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks in Jannah and strength for the grieving family to bear the irreparable loss.

Later, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu visited the Combined Military Hospital Rawalpindi where he met with injured personnel from the Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Army, and civilians wounded during the conflict. He was briefed on their medical condition and interacted with the injured, commending their unwavering courage and resilience in the face of adversity. He directed the hospital administration to ensure the best possible medical care and administrative support for all the wounded.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief of the Air Staff reaffirmed Pakistan Air Force’s unflinching resolve to safeguard the nation’s aerial frontiers and to uphold the enduring legacy of valour, sacrifice, and professional commitment demonstrated by its personnel in the line of duty.
