“We Defeated a Much Larger Enemy”: DG ISPR’s Bold Message on Marka-e-Haq and Challenge to India Over Pahalgam Truth

Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has stated that during Marka-e-Haq, Pakistan—by the grace of Almighty Allah—defeated a much larger adversary operating with significantly greater numerical strength.

Addressing a joint press conference alongside senior officers of the Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy on the completion of one year since Marka-e-Haq, the DG ISPR said that the Armed Forces of Pakistan, through divine assistance and national resolve, successfully lived up to the expectations of the nation.

He stated that Pakistan defeated an adversary “five times larger” in a multi-domain warfare environment, adding that this reality is widely recognized not only by Pakistani children but also by Indian children, although it is not openly acknowledged by the Indian establishment.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that India has persistently attempted to construct a false narrative portraying Pakistan as being involved in terrorism. However, he stressed that the international community is no longer receptive to such allegations, as India itself stands exposed for involvement in destabilizing activities.

Referring to the Pahalgam incident, the DG ISPR said that one year has passed, yet the questions raised by Pakistan remain unanswered. He asked who was responsible for orchestrating the incident and which alleged terrorist camp was actually targeted, noting that India has failed to provide clarity or evidence in this regard.

He further stated that Kashmir is not India’s internal matter but an internationally recognized dispute, adding that India continues to shift blame onto others while allegedly engaging in actions that contradict its own accusations. He emphasized that truth remains the only sustainable basis for credibility in international affairs.

The DG ISPR also remarked that Indian political leadership increasingly reflects aggressive and militarized rhetoric, stating that if such language and approach are to continue, then confrontation must be faced directly.

Issuing a firm and unambiguous message, he said that Pakistan remains fully prepared for any form of challenge conventional or unconventional. “Do whatever you want—conventional or unconventional—we are standing firm and will respond with full strength,” he stated.

He further underscored that modern conflict extends beyond the battlefield, encompassing land, air, sea, cyber, and cognitive domains. According to him, Pakistan’s Armed Forces are fully prepared across all these dimensions and remain vigilant against any form of aggression.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry concluded by reaffirming that Marka-e-Haq stands as a symbol of Pakistan’s military resilience, strategic clarity, and national unity, and that the Armed Forces will continue to defend the country with full resolve under all circumstances.
