Residents of Swat joined hands with the Pakistan Army and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police in a joint flag rally and coordinated patrol to demonstrate unity against terrorism and reaffirm their collective commitment to lasting peace and stability in the district.

The initiative, organized in view of the prevailing security situation, brought together security personnel, police officials and a large number of local residents, including elders, youth and children. Participants marched side by side, carrying the national flag and expressing solidarity with the country’s security institutions.

Throughout the rally, participants echoed slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Pak Army Zindabad,” while emphasizing that the fight against terrorism is a shared national responsibility requiring cooperation between the public and state institutions.

As part of the activity, joint patrols comprising Pakistan Army and KP Police vehicles and motorcycles moved through major roads and public areas of the city. Residents warmly welcomed the convoys, with many gathering along the routes to wave national flags and express support for the security personnel.

Participants said the event was intended to strengthen public confidence, reinforce the sense of security among citizens and send a clear message to terrorist elements that the people of Swat stand united with the Pakistan Army and police in rejecting terrorism and safeguarding peace.

The rally reflected the close coordination that has developed between local communities and security institutions in Swat, a region that has repeatedly faced the threat of terrorism. Residents maintained that lasting peace can only be preserved when the public, law enforcement agencies and the armed forces continue to stand shoulder to shoulder against forces seeking to destabilize the area.
