Pakistan’s security forces have intensified their ongoing counterterrorism campaign in Balochistan, successfully eliminating ten terrorists and arresting two female suicide bombers along with a facilitator during a series of intelligence-based and targeted operations conducted across multiple districts over the past 48 hours.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), security forces continue to conduct uninterrupted operations against terrorist networks identified as Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij, which the statement described as operating with Indian backing. The operations form part of a sustained national effort to dismantle terrorist infrastructure and restore lasting peace and stability in the province.
The ISPR stated that several intelligence-based area sanitization and targeted operations were carried out during the last 48 hours in the districts of Sorab and Mastung following credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorist elements.
In Sorab, security forces effectively engaged terrorist hideouts, resulting in the elimination of seven terrorists during the operation.
In a separate operation in Mastung, security forces killed three additional terrorists, bringing the total number of terrorists eliminated during the coordinated operations to ten.
The ISPR further stated that security forces successfully apprehended two female suicide bombers allegedly affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan, along with one alleged facilitator, during the operation in Mastung.
The arrests were described as a significant operational success, reflecting the effectiveness of intelligence-led efforts aimed at preventing future terrorist attacks and dismantling support networks associated with terrorist organizations.
During the operations, security forces recovered a cache of weapons, ammunition, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the possession of the terrorists.
According to the ISPR, sanitization operations remain underway to eliminate any remaining terrorist presence in the affected areas and to ensure that all terrorist hideouts and logistical networks are identified and neutralized.
The military’s media wing reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces, in close coordination with law enforcement agencies, remain fully committed to implementing the National Action Plan under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as approved by the Federal Apex Committee.
The ISPR stated that the nationwide counterterrorism campaign will continue with full determination to eliminate terrorism, dismantle terrorist infrastructure, and counter externally sponsored threats to Pakistan’s peace, security, and sovereignty.
The statement reiterated that security forces will continue intelligence-driven operations across the country until all terrorist networks and their facilitators are brought to justice and the threat of terrorism is decisively eradicated.
