Security Forces Repel Infiltration Attempt in Mohmand, Four Khawarij Neutralized in Swift Response

Security forces successfully repelled an attempted infiltration in the Rambat area of Ambar Tehsil in Mohmand district, resulting in the neutralization of four Khawarij and the disruption of a coordinated attempt to breach security lines, according to official security sources.

The exchange of fire took place during an ongoing engagement in which security personnel responded promptly to suspicious movement along a sensitive route. Sources indicated that the group involved attempted to infiltrate the area under cover of darkness, but was detected in time by vigilant forces deployed in the region.

Upon identification of the threat, security forces launched a swift and precise response, engaging the infiltrating group in a sustained exchange of fire. As a result of the operation, four Khawarij were killed on the spot, while two others, reportedly injured, managed to flee the area under the cover of challenging terrain.

Security officials confirmed that the area has since been cordoned off and a comprehensive search and clearance operation is underway to locate the fleeing individuals and eliminate any remaining threat elements. Reinforcements have been deployed to ensure complete area domination and to prevent any further attempts at infiltration.

Authorities emphasized that the timely and effective response by security forces prevented a potentially larger security incident, underscoring the continued vigilance and operational readiness of personnel deployed in sensitive border and frontier regions.

The region of Mohmand, part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s tribal belt, has historically faced intermittent security challenges linked to militant infiltration attempts. Officials maintain that sustained counter-infiltration operations remain critical to safeguarding local communities and maintaining long-term stability in the region.
