Security Forces Conduct Successful IBO in Dalbandin; Large Cache of Foreign-Origin Weapons Recovered

FC Balochistan (South) conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in the Barabcha area of Dalbandin, resulting in the recovery of a significant cache of modern foreign-origin weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials.

According to details, the operation was carried out following credible intelligence regarding the suspected movement of arms and explosives being transported from the Azhni area of Afghanistan toward Barabcha. Acting swiftly on the information, security forces intercepted and recovered the consignment, effectively preventing its possible use in hostile activities.

During the operation, a substantial quantity of arms and ammunition was seized, including two improvised explosive devices (IEDs), three submachine guns (SMGs), one AK-47 rifle, one M4 rifle, one MP5 submachine gun, two hand grenades, two detonating fuses, three UBGL rounds, and 846 rounds of assorted ammunition.

Officials stated that the recovered weaponry and explosive material were likely intended for use in a major terrorist activity aimed at disrupting peace and stability in the region. However, the timely and effective action by FC Balochistan (South) successfully foiled these malicious designs and prevented potential harm.

Security sources emphasized that such intelligence-based operations are part of an ongoing and sustained effort to disrupt cross-border movement of illicit arms, dismantle logistical support networks, and deny hostile elements the capability to carry out attacks against civilians and security forces.

The operation reflects the continued vigilance, operational readiness, and professionalism of FC Balochistan (South), which remains committed to safeguarding the province against all forms of security threats.

Authorities reiterated that efforts to monitor and secure sensitive border regions will continue with full intensity, and all attempts to destabilize the region will be dealt with promptly and decisively.

Officials further highlighted that the recovery of such a large and sophisticated cache of weapons underscores the persistent threat posed by transnational illicit arms networks and the importance of sustained intelligence-driven countermeasures.

FC Balochistan (South) reaffirmed its resolve to continue operations aimed at ensuring peace, stability, and the protection of civilian life across the province.
