Pakistan on Tuesday successfully carried out a training launch of its indigenously developed Fateh-II Missile System, marking another milestone in the country’s growing defence capabilities.
According to the military’s media wing, the launch was conducted by the Army Rocket Force Command as part of an exercise aimed at strengthening operational preparedness and evaluating the missile system’s battlefield performance.
The Fateh-II Missile System is equipped with advanced avionics and state-of-the-art navigational aids, enhancing its precision, survivability and effectiveness in modern combat scenarios.
The military said the purpose of the training launch was to train troops, validate various technical parameters and evaluate the performance of different sub-systems incorporated for improved accuracy and enhanced survivability.
The launch was witnessed by senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Rocket Force Command and Pakistan Army, along with scientists and engineers from strategic organizations.
The forum commended the successful training fire of the indigenously developed missile from the Fateh series, terming it a reflection of Pakistan’s indigenous technological progress and operational readiness.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces and the Services Chiefs appreciated the technical prowess, dedication and commitment of all personnel involved in the successful training launch.
The successful launch comes at a time of heightened regional tensions and underscores Pakistan’s continued focus on strengthening its strategic deterrence and defence preparedness.
