In continuation of Operation Ghazab lil Haq and in line with Pakistan’s unwavering resolve to eliminate terrorism, dismantle terrorist networks, and neutralize their facilitators and supporters, well-planned and calibrated aerial strikes have been conducted against identified hideouts and safe havens of organisations affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan in Afghanistan.
The strikes were undertaken on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorist elements and their infrastructure. Selective targeting was carried out at two identified locations hosting camps and hideouts associated with Fitna al-Khawarij, Fitna al-Hindustan, and their affiliates. The targets were engaged with precision and accuracy, with the primary objective of disrupting terrorist infrastructure and preventing these elements from using Afghan territory to plan and facilitate attacks against Pakistan.
According to initial reports, the strikes resulted in the killing of 22 terrorists. A substantial quantity of weapons, ammunition, and other military equipment reportedly stored at the targeted hideouts was also destroyed, significantly disrupting the infrastructure available to the targeted organisations.
The operation was conducted following detailed intelligence assessment and careful target selection. Maximum precautions were taken to avoid collateral damage, with the strikes focused specifically on identified terrorist camps and hideouts. The operation was designed to achieve its intended objectives while minimizing risks to civilians and non-targeted areas.
Pakistan has consistently emphasized its commitment to peace, stability, and security in the region. At the same time, the safety and security of Pakistani citizens remains the foremost priority of the state. The continued presence and use of terrorist infrastructure on Afghan soil remains a matter of serious concern for Pakistan, particularly where such infrastructure is assessed to be facilitating cross-border terrorist activity.
Pakistan’s actions are therefore directed specifically against identified terrorist hubs and infrastructure, rather than against the Afghan people or the broader population of Afghanistan. Pakistan remains committed to regional peace and stability and expects that the territory of any neighbouring country will not be permitted to serve as a sanctuary or launching ground for activities threatening Pakistan’s security.
The latest action reflects Pakistan’s determination that terrorist networks, their safe havens, logistical infrastructure, and support mechanisms will be pursued wherever credible intelligence establishes their presence and threat to the country.
The operation forms part of Pakistan’s broader and continuing counter-terrorism campaign, Ghazab lil Haq, being conducted under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam.” Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies remain fully engaged in intelligence-based operations aimed at dismantling terrorist networks, disrupting their operational capabilities, and preventing attacks against innocent citizens.
Pakistan’s counter-terrorism campaign will continue with full resolve, precision, and sustained momentum until the threat posed by foreign-sponsored and foreign-supported terrorism is effectively eliminated.
Pakistan reiterates its commitment to safeguarding its territorial integrity, protecting its citizens, and contributing to lasting peace and stability in the region.
