A high-level Pakistani delegation, led by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has arrived in Tehran as part of ongoing efforts to facilitate dialogue between the United States and Iran.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir reached Tehran accompanied by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The visit marks a significant step in Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement aimed at easing tensions between the two countries.
Arab media outlets reported that the Pakistani delegation will hold key discussions with Iranian officials regarding the possible restoration of negotiations between Washington and Tehran.
Meanwhile, Al Jazeera, citing Iranian sources, stated that the visit comes at a time when efforts are underway to resume stalled talks between the United States and Iran.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei confirmed that messages between the United States and Iran were being exchanged through Pakistan, adding that Tehran is hosting the Pakistani delegation as part of the ongoing diplomatic process.
