Security forces continue to conduct intelligence-based operations against terrorist elements in Balochistan under Operation Shaban-2, with forces carrying out targeted actions to disrupt militant networks and prevent terrorist activities in the province.
According to security sources, security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation against elements of Fitna al-Hindustan in the Saran Tangi area of Balochistan. The operation was launched on the basis of actionable intelligence regarding the presence and activities of Fitna al-Hindustan terrorists in the area. During the operation, security forces effectively engaged the identified terrorist elements, resulting in the elimination of six terrorists, according to security sources.
In addition, nine suspected individuals were apprehended during the operation. The detained individuals are being dealt with in accordance with the applicable legal and investigative procedures, while further investigations are underway to determine their links and involvement, if any, with terrorist activities.
Following the engagement, security personnel conducted a search of the area and recovered a large quantity of weapons and ammunition from the possession of the killed terrorists. The recovery of the weapons and ammunition is expected to assist security and law-enforcement authorities in further investigations into the terrorist network and its activities in the area.
Security sources stated that operations against terrorist elements are continuing across Balochistan as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt militant networks, deny terrorists safe operating space and safeguard the lives and property of the local population.
The latest operation forms part of sustained security efforts aimed at identifying and dismantling terrorist cells through intelligence-led action. Security forces remain engaged in surveillance and targeted operations against elements involved in terrorist activities.
