Security forces eliminated more terrorists during a successful counterterrorism operation in the Khad Kocha area of Mastung district, taking the total number of terrorists neutralized under the ongoing Operation Al-Azm to 13.
According to security sources, forces launched a follow-up operation based on intelligence indicating the presence of remaining terrorist elements and their hideouts in the area. During the operation, security personnel engaged the terrorists, eliminating several more militants while systematically clearing their positions.
The operation also resulted in the destruction of multiple terrorist hideouts believed to have been used for planning attacks, storing weapons and sheltering militants operating in the region.
Security forces recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition, explosive material and equipment used for the fabrication of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Officials said the recovered material indicates that the militants were preparing further terrorist attacks targeting both security personnel and civilians.
The latest operation forms part of the broader Operation Al-Azm, launched to dismantle terrorist infrastructure and deny militant groups the ability to regroup in remote areas of Balochistan. Security officials said the continued recovery of explosives, weapons and bomb-making material reflects the scale of terrorist preparations that have been disrupted through sustained intelligence-based operations.
A comprehensive clearance and sanitization operation remains underway in and around Khad Kocha to locate any remaining terrorists, dismantle additional hideouts and ensure the area is cleared of militant presence.
Security sources reiterated that counterterrorism operations across Balochistan will continue without interruption until all terrorist networks and their logistical infrastructure are dismantled, emphasizing that efforts under Operation Al-Azm remain focused on preventing future attacks and restoring lasting peace in the region.
