Security forces continue to conduct robust counter-terrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, targeting elements of Fitna al-Khawarij and working to eliminate terrorist threats and strengthen lasting peace and stability in the region.
According to security sources, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Eidak area of North Waziristan, acting against the presence of Fitna al-Khawarij elements in the area. During the operation, seven Khawarij were eliminated, according to security sources.
The operation was conducted as part of continuing intelligence-driven efforts to identify, track and neutralize terrorist elements operating in the region. Security forces pursued the Khawarij with determination and professional combat expertise, maintaining operational pressure until the targeted threat was effectively neutralized, security sources said.
Security sources said security forces carried out a decisive action against Fitna al-Khawarij elements and destroyed terrorist hideouts being used by the group.
The operation reflects the continued emphasis on intelligence-based counter-terrorism measures designed to disrupt terrorist networks, deny them safe operating space and prevent them from regrouping or establishing positions in cleared areas. The destruction of terrorist hideouts has further restricted the operational space available to Khawarij elements in the area, security sources said.
The operation also demonstrates the ability of security forces to translate actionable intelligence into coordinated ground action against terrorist elements, while maintaining sustained pressure on their infrastructure and positions.
Security forces remain engaged in continued counter-terrorism efforts across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to disrupt terrorist networks and prevent them from threatening the security of local communities. Under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, security forces are pursuing a sustained approach focused on countering terrorism, dismantling terrorist infrastructure and supporting efforts aimed at establishing durable peace.
The latest operation in Eidak comes amid continuing security efforts in North Waziristan, where intelligence-based actions remain an important component of the broader campaign against Fitna al-Khawarij.
Security forces have reiterated their resolve to maintain operational pressure against terrorist elements and to deny them the opportunity to exploit the region for carrying out attacks, organizing recruits or rebuilding their networks.
