Khawarij Quadcopter Attack During Prayers in South Waziristan Leaves 4 Injured, Residents Trapped Amid Gunfire

Four people were injured when Khawarij carried out a quadcopter attack during prayers at Karach Khel Mosque in South Waziristan on Monday evening. The incident was accompanied by mortar shelling and intense gunfire, creating panic among local residents and making it extremely difficult to evacuate the injured to safety.

According to Express News, the attack took place while worshippers were offering prayers at the mosque. The injured were identified as Wali Mat Khan, son of Mishal Khan; Saddam Hussain, son of Lal Gul; Saeed, son of Mir Abbas; and Qari Hussain, son of Mir Abbas.

The attack has raised serious concerns over civilian safety and the security of places of worship in the region. The use of a quadcopter, combined with mortar shelling and sustained gunfire, intensified the situation, leaving residents struggling to find safe routes and access emergency assistance.

Continuous firing and mortar shelling created significant obstacles for those attempting to move the injured to safer locations. The sounds of gunfire, falling mortar rounds, and quadcopter activity forced residents to remain inside their homes, restricting movement and heightening fear throughout the area.

The dangerous conditions made it difficult for local people to assist those wounded during the attack, highlighting the grave risks faced by civilians caught in areas affected by armed violence.

The attack at Karach Khel Mosque underscores the serious security challenges confronting communities in South Waziristan. Violence during religious gatherings is particularly alarming, as worshippers should be able to practise their faith without fear for their lives.

The use of quadcopters alongside mortar shelling and gunfire further intensifies concerns about the safety of populated areas and the ability of residents to reach medical assistance during security incidents.
