Iranian security forces have dismantled an operational cell of the armed group Jaish al-Adl following an intelligence-led operation in the Rask border region, according to reports published by the IRGC-linked Tasnim News Agency.
The operation was launched after the group allegedly attempted to infiltrate Iranian territory from across the border with Pakistan. Security forces engaged the suspects in a targeted action, during which several members of the cell were reportedly killed.
Authorities stated that the swift response prevented what they described as a potential security breach in the sensitive border area. The operation was carried out based on actionable intelligence and formed part of ongoing counter-infiltration efforts in the region.
Following the engagement, Iranian authorities released images purportedly showing the bodies of two individuals killed in the operation, along with a significant cache of weapons and ammunition recovered from the site. The seized material is currently under further examination by security and intelligence agencies.
Officials emphasized that border security operations in southeastern Iran remain a priority due to recurring threats posed by armed groups operating in the wider regional landscape. They added that surveillance and counterterrorism measures have been further strengthened along vulnerable border zones.
