In one of the most audacious terror attacks in recent memory, armed terrorists affiliated with the so-called Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), referred to by the state as “Fitna-e-Hindustan”—launched a brazen assault on key state institutions in Surab on the evening of May 30, 2025.

According to official reports, 50 to 60 armed terrorists on motorcycles stormed the Surab Bazaar at approximately 6:45 PM, swiftly overpowering security personnel and seizing control of the DC House, Levies Station, Police Station, and National Bank. The attackers torched police vehicles, the DC house and the houses of different officers, looted arms and the national bank, and even commandeered a government vehicle.

As chaos gripped the town, ADC (Retd.) Hidayat Ullah Buledi displayed exceptional courage in the line of duty and embraced martyrdom while resisting the terrorists’ assault. His sacrifice has already become a symbol of bravery in the face of sheer lawlessness.

“The attack on state institutions in Surab, including police and administrative headquarters, is a direct assault on the writ of the state. ADC Hidayat Buledi fought valiantly and was martyred defending his post, an eternal symbol of courage. Even women and children were not spared in this heinous attack,” stated the Spokesperson of the Balochistan Government.

Security sources confirmed that the town’s central bazaar remains under the militants’ control, with sporadic gunfire echoing into the night. FC, Police, and Levies personnel have surrounded the area, launching an ongoing search and clearance operation to retake the town and neutralise the attackers.

Indian Hand Behind the Bloodshed

The Balochistan government has explicitly blamed Indian-backed proxies for the attack, citing evidence of foreign involvement.

“We have credible evidence that India’s proxies are behind this attack. This isn’t a local rebellion, it’s a carefully coordinated plan to destabilise Pakistan. But let the enemies of peace know this: every conspiracy against the state will be crushed,” warned the provincial spokesperson.

As operations continue into the night, the attack has stirred outrage and grief across the country, especially following the martyrdom of a decorated officer and reports of civilians caught in the crossfire.

“This is not just an attack on Surab, it is an attack on the unity and sovereignty of Pakistan,” declared officials, vowing a relentless response.

The story is developing as reinforcements arrive in the area and intelligence operations escalate to trace the masterminds behind what officials are calling a proxy war waged by Fitna-e-Hindustan.
