A contractor associated with development activities in Balochistan was shot dead by terrorists linked to Fitna al-Hindustan in Mastung, in what appears to be another attempt to intimidate individuals contributing to the province’s progress and economic development.
According to available information, Hafeez Jan Bangalzai, a resident of Mastung, was targeted in a gun attack by the terrorists of Fitna al-Hindustan. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the attackers fled the area.
The killing is being viewed as part of a broader pattern of terrorism aimed at disrupting development initiatives and creating an atmosphere of fear in Balochistan. In recent years, contractors, engineers, laborers, and individuals associated with public infrastructure projects have repeatedly been targeted by terrorist groups seeking to obstruct economic activity and discourage investment in the province.
Security analysts believe such attacks are intended to undermine the state’s development efforts, delay public welfare projects, and weaken public confidence by targeting civilians engaged in reconstruction and economic progress rather than security-related activities.
Law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible. Security has also been enhanced in the surrounding areas, while efforts are underway to trace the attackers and their facilitators.
Despite repeated terrorist attempts to derail development, authorities have reiterated that reconstruction projects and public welfare initiatives across Balochistan will continue uninterrupted. Officials have maintained that such cowardly attacks will not deter the state’s resolve to restore lasting peace, strengthen security, and accelerate socio-economic development throughout the province.
