Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Defence Forces, said Pakistan stands united like Bunyan al-Marsoos in the face of internal and external security challenges, as he presided over the 275th Corps Commanders’ Conference at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the forum paid rich tribute to the Shuhada of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and civilians who sacrificed their lives in the defence of the country. It stated that their sacrifices remain the foundation of Pakistan’s national security, unity, and resilience.
The forum resolved to continue sustained action against terrorist networks and their supporting infrastructure, reaffirming that operational momentum will be maintained to deny any space for such elements within Pakistan.
It reviewed ongoing counterterrorism efforts, including continued disruption of terrorist networks and their infrastructure through Operation Ghazb Lil Haq.
The forum noted that the Afghan Taliban regime continues to provide safe havens to Khwarij and other terrorist organizations. It stated that such policies are contrary to the interests of the Afghan people, and that the situation has increasingly exposed the internal contradictions of the regime.
It also observed an ongoing propaganda campaign by the Afghan Taliban aimed at falsely accusing Pakistan of targeting civilians inside Afghanistan. The forum described this narrative as part of a coordinated disinformation effort designed to divert attention from internal failures and portray a victimhood narrative.
It categorically rejected these allegations, stating that Pakistan’s defensive actions are precise, intelligence-based, and directed solely against terrorist hideouts, infiltrators, and their supporting infrastructure.
The forum also reviewed the broader regional security environment, noting that emerging geopolitical developments may have significant implications for regional stability. It stressed the importance of restraint, avoidance of escalation, and respect for sovereignty, while reiterating Pakistan’s continued support for stability in the region.
The forum stated that the commemoration of Marka-e-Haq serves as a clear message against what it described as an “arrogant political mindset,” reaffirming that the Pakistani nation remains united, resilient, and fully prepared.
It strongly condemned ongoing human rights violations, extrajudicial killings, and demographic changes in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, and reiterated Pakistan’s diplomatic, political, and moral support for the Kashmiri people.
In his concluding remarks, the Chief of Defence Forces directed commanders to maintain the highest level of vigilance, operational readiness, and adaptability in the face of evolving threats. He emphasized professional excellence, integrated response mechanisms, and proactive measures to address both conventional and non-conventional challenges.
The COAS & CDF also expressed satisfaction over the operational preparedness, professionalism, and performance of the Pakistan Armed Forces, particularly in ongoing counterterrorism operations across the country.
