Field Marshal Asim Munir Draws Red Line on India, Vows Decisive Response to Any Aggression

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm and uncompromising position on Indian aggression and the Kashmir dispute, while reiterating the country’s resolve to thwart any hostile intentions against Pakistan.

Speaking at a dignified and high-profile ceremony for overseas Pakistanis on 16 April 2025, the Field Marshal underscored that Pakistan’s national defence remains fully secure and capable of countering all threats. He stated that the country’s armed forces are prepared to deliver an immediate and decisive response to any unprovoked aggression.

He further emphasized that despite India’s numerical and material advantages, its military capability cannot undermine Pakistan’s defensive strength. According to him, Pakistan’s security framework is resilient, well-prepared, and fully capable of neutralizing any external threat.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s long-standing position on Kashmir, Field Marshal Asim Munir described the region as an inseparable part of the country’s national identity and reiterated unwavering support for the Kashmiri people. He stated that Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir remains clear and unchanged, emphasizing the nation’s continued commitment to the Kashmiri cause.

He also highlighted that the people of Indian-administered Kashmir are actively resisting what he described as occupation forces, and assured that they are not alone in their struggle. He stressed that Pakistan’s armed forces and security institutions will continue efforts to eliminate what he termed cross-border militant networks and proxies.

The Field Marshal’s remarks were widely viewed by analysts as outlining a comprehensive defence doctrine, reflecting Pakistan’s strategic posture in the region. Experts noted that his statements reinforce a narrative of national deterrence, operational readiness, and internal cohesion.
