An on-leave Frontier Corps (FC) soldier was martyred in a targeted shooting by terrorists in Bannu, according to police and local sources.

The incident took place near Bakhmali Pump, where unidentified terrorists riding a motorcycle opened fire on the FC personnel, who had returned home on leave.

The soldier sustained critical gunshot wounds and was martyred at the scene.

Police identified the martyred soldier as Burhan, son of Dada Guli, a resident of Amal Khel and a serving member of the Frontier Corps.
