Security forces neutralized eight terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the Dosali area of North Waziristan after receiving reports about the presence of members of the banned terrorist group Fitna al-Khwarij.
According to security sources, the operation led to an intense exchange of fire between security forces and the terrorists. As a result, eight terrorists were eliminated, while several others were reportedly injured and managed to flee the area.
A cache of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the neutralized terrorists, officials said.
During the operation, two security personnel embraced martyrdom while fighting bravely against the terrorists. Their sacrifice was described as part of the ongoing campaign to eliminate terrorist threats and restore lasting peace in the region.
Security forces have launched a search and clearance operation in the area to track down any remaining terrorists and ensure the complete elimination of terrorist hideouts.
The latest operation comes amid continuing efforts by Pakistan’s security forces to dismantle terrorist networks operating in border regions and prevent attacks against civilians and security installations. Officials reaffirmed their commitment to continuing operations until the menace of terrorism is fully eradicated.
