Defence Minister Khawaja Asif Rejects False Claims by Fitna al-Khawarij, Exposes Propaganda Tactics

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has strongly criticized the alleged false propaganda and misleading claims made by Fitna al-Khawarij regarding the martyrdom of Group Captain Asim Tariq, terming such claims as baseless attempts to gain publicity and mislead the public.

In a statement shared on the social media platform X, the Defence Minister rejected the claims attributed to Fitna al-Khawarij and highlighted what he described as the group’s attempts to exploit tragic incidents for propaganda purposes.

Khawaja Asif stated that the responsibility for the brutal killing of Group Captain Asim Tariq in Islamabad was being claimed by the Taliban, while dismissing the credibility of claims made by Fitna al-Khawarij.

The Defence Minister said that the group has no credibility and relies on hollow publicity and fabricated narratives. He remarked that such elements could eventually attempt to claim responsibility even for ordinary crimes such as theft and robbery merely to create an impression of influence and relevance.

He emphasized that the primary objective of Fitna al-Khawarij is to seek attention through false claims, while disregarding truth, ethics, and accountability.

Khawaja Asif reiterated that the state remains committed to countering misleading narratives and exposing attempts by hostile elements to manipulate public perception through propaganda. He stressed that the nation stands united against forces seeking to undermine peace, stability, and security.
