Nine police personnel were martyred in a terrorist attack in Ziarat district of Balochistan, according to local authorities.
Deputy Commissioner Ziarat confirmed that armed terrorists targeted police personnel in the Mangi Phase-III area, resulting in the martyrdom of nine officials. The bodies of the martyred personnel have been shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Ziarat for necessary procedures.
According to police officials, an exchange of fire between law enforcement personnel and the attackers had been ongoing since last night. Security forces remained engaged in the area as efforts continued to respond to the attack and ensure the safety of residents.
The authorities have launched further measures to assess the situation and trace the elements involved in the attack. Security personnel are continuing operations in the area to counter the threat and restore complete security.
