Fourteen civilians were injured in the aftermath of a failed suicide attack in South Waziristan, with victims shifted for medical treatment as authorities confirmed an updated casualty count.
According to medical officials at District Headquarters Hospital Wana, multiple injured were brought in following the explosion. Medical Superintendent Dr. Jan Muhammad confirmed that at least seven of the injured were shifted to the hospital, while others were treated at nearby facilities, raising the total number of injured civilians to 14.

Security sources stated that terrorists attempted to target an Army post using a vehicle laden with explosives. High-alert troops engaged the vehicle before it could reach its intended target, destroying it at a distance from the installation.
The suicide attacker was neutralized in the engagement, preventing a larger breach or destruction at the site.

Despite the successful interception of the attack, nearby civilians bore the impact of the explosion, with injuries reported in the surrounding area.
