The identity of one of the five terrorists eliminated during a successful operation by Bannu Police in coordination with a local peace committee has been confirmed, security sources said.
According to details, the individual has been identified as Naeematullah, son of a resident of Khaisoor Khel, Naurang. Officials stated that he was among the five terrorists eliminated during the operation carried out in the district.
Initial information obtained during investigation revealed a troubling picture of deception and lack of awareness within the family. The sources said the individual had misled his family by claiming he was studying at Jamia Haqqania, Akora Khattak, while in reality he was actively present in Bannu and involved in terrorist activities alongside other terrorists.
Security sources noted that this incident highlights a repeated pattern where individuals involved in terrorism manage to conceal their activities from families, despite continuous public awareness messages and repeated warnings issued by security forces. Authorities have consistently urged elders, particularly parents, to closely monitor the whereabouts, associations, and activities of their children in order to prevent their exploitation by terrorist elements.
Officials further stressed that such negligence or lack of awareness can not only endanger the individuals themselves but also pose serious risks to public safety and security forces, often resulting in severe and irreversible consequences.
Security forces reiterated that operations against terrorists will continue across the region to ensure lasting peace and stability, while also emphasizing the importance of community vigilance and responsibility in preventing youth from falling into terrorist networks.
