Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, held an interaction with prominent personalities and political leadership from Balochistan, during which he emphasized that the province’s peace, stability, development and prosperity are inseparably linked with the progress and future of Pakistan.
Speaking during the interaction, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir underscored that Balochistan and Pakistan share a common present and an inseparable future. He described Balochistan as a land blessed with talented, resilient, determined, patriotic and dignified people, possessing immense potential to make a transformative contribution to the country’s economic and national development.
The Chief of Defence Forces highlighted that a clear and cohesive national narrative, coupled with sustainable peace and stability, is fundamental to unlocking Balochistan’s vast economic potential. He emphasized that a secure and stable environment is essential for attracting investment, accelerating development, creating employment opportunities, and converting the province’s considerable natural and economic resources into tangible benefits for its people.
Field Marshal Asim Munir observed that peace and stability would create an enabling environment for economic activity and investment, allowing Balochistan’s resources and strategic potential to be harnessed for the welfare and prosperity of its population. He stressed that the province’s development must ultimately translate into meaningful opportunities and improved livelihoods for its people.
The Chief of Defence Forces particularly highlighted the pivotal role of Balochistan’s youth, describing them as talented, energetic and among the most dynamic segments of the country’s population. He emphasized that the empowerment of young people and the creation of meaningful opportunities for them to contribute to national development are indispensable to achieving sustainable and inclusive progress.
Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed that providing the youth with avenues for education, skills development, employment, entrepreneurship and constructive participation in national life would enable them to realize their full potential and become active partners in the development of Balochistan and Pakistan.
He further underscored that Pakistan’s national progress is closely connected with the prosperity of Balochistan and that lasting development requires a collective commitment by all stakeholders. In this regard, he emphasized the importance of cooperation among political leadership, community representatives, institutions, civil society and the people of Balochistan to advance peace, development and prosperity.
The Chief of Defence Forces also cautioned that hostile elements seek to exploit challenges in Balochistan by creating instability, obstructing development and attempting to widen the gap between the state and its people. He emphasized that such efforts can only be effectively countered through national unity, sustained engagement, inclusive development, and a collective resolve to protect the province’s peace and future.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed that the people of Balochistan remain an integral and valued part of Pakistan’s national fabric. He emphasized the importance of strengthening mutual trust, promoting greater connectivity between institutions and communities, and ensuring that the benefits of peace and development reach the people at the grassroots level.
He reiterated that a peaceful, stable and prosperous Balochistan is essential for a strong, secure and economically vibrant Pakistan.
