An attack by Fitna al-Khawarij on the Anar China Police Check Post in Hangu was successfully foiled through a swift, coordinated, and effective response by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and Frontier Corps (FC).
According to initial reports, Khawarij launched an armed assault on the police check post. The security personnel responded immediately and engaged the attackers with determination and professionalism, effectively preventing them from achieving their objective.
During the ensuing exchange of fire, the joint retaliatory action by Police and Frontier Corps personnel resulted in the killing of four Khawarij, while three others sustained injuries.
The timely and coordinated response demonstrated the high level of preparedness, vigilance, and operational capability of the security personnel deployed in the area. The Khawarij were effectively engaged, and their attempt to target the security installation was successfully thwarted.
Following the initial engagement, the operation remains ongoing. Security forces are conducting a comprehensive search and clearance operation in and around the area to ensure that no further threat remains and to secure the surrounding locality.
