AFF Commander Issues Open Challenge to Taliban, Vows Relentless Resistance Until Victory

Senior Afghan Freedom Front (AFF) commander Shams al-Rahman Moshfiq has issued a direct and uncompromising challenge to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan (TTA), reaffirming the resistance movement’s determination to continue its struggle against Taliban rule.

In a strongly worded statement, Moshfiq declared that the armed resistance against the Afghan Taliban and its allied groups would continue until victory, emphasising that the struggle was aimed at securing freedom and safeguarding the legitimate rights of Afghan women.

“We will fight the Taliban till the end. Armed struggle against Afghan Taliban and its allied groups for freedom and women’s legitimate rights will continue until victory,” Moshfiq stated.

His remarks underscore the continued defiance of resistance elements against the Taliban authorities and signal their refusal to abandon their opposition to the current ruling system.

The statement also places the rights and freedoms of Afghan women at the centre of the resistance movement’s declared political objectives, highlighting the deepening divisions over Afghanistan’s political future and the restrictions imposed under Taliban rule.

Moshfiq’s direct challenge reflects the determination of the Afghan Freedom Front to sustain its opposition to the Taliban and maintain pressure for a political order that recognises fundamental freedoms, public participation and the legitimate rights of all Afghan citizens.

The declaration sends an unmistakable political message: the Afghan Freedom Front does not consider its struggle over and remains committed to opposing Taliban rule until its stated objectives are achieved.
